Sheffield’s five Household Waste Recycling Centres will be open as normal during the four week national lockdown. Usage of sites has been high throughout the pandemic as people have been spending more time at home, and it is expected that this demand will continue throughout this second lockdown.
The sites are open between 10am and 4pm, on the days shown below.
Beighton Road, Woodhouse, S13 7PS Wednesday to Monday (10am – 4pm) Tuesday (Closed)
Blackstock Road, Gleadless, S14 1FY Thursday to Tuesday (10am – 4pm) Wednesday (Closed)
Greaves Lane, High Green, S35 4GR Friday to Tuesday (10am – 4pm) Wednesday and Thursday (Closed)
Longley Avenue West, Shirecliffe, S5 8WA Open 7 days (10am – 4pm)
Manchester Road, Deepcar, S36 2DT Thursday to Monday (10am – 4pm) Tuesday and Wednesday (Closed)
Due to social distancing restrictions, the sites do get busy. We share queuing times for the sites throughout the day and advise residents to check the current queuing times before travelling to a site, on our Twitter page https://twitter.com/Recycle4Shef
Residents are reminded that it is not acceptable for vehicles to queue outside the sites as this may cause potential danger for other road users trying to pass. Drivers will initially be asked to move on by the site staff, and failure to do so will be issued with a £70 Penalty Charge Notice.
